Proposed Major Housing Developments Update
Over 70 local residents attended the Parish Council Meeting on 26th August to listen to and take part in, the discussion on two major planning applications for housing developments - 54/25/00011 (Cossington Lane) and 54/25/00013 (Higher Road)

Alan Sharp the Chairman of the Parish Council would like to thank all those who attend the Parish Council Meeting to participate in and listen to the discussion around 2 significant planning applications (ref 54/25/00011, & 54/25/00013). The
Parish Council appreciated the questions raised and fully understood the general concerns particularly around the numbers of homes and the impacts on infrastructure. The Parish Council has similar concerns.
However any refusal needs to be substantiated as being contra to any of the policies in the current Local Plan and, as a result of some recent changes, the Council are now constrained on how they can respond.
The Parish Council will continue to be fully engaged with the planning process, as far as they are permitted and will try to influence any decisions for the benefit of the community. Updates will continue to be provided on these applications
