1926 Village Show
Information about a village show
A programme for the first Woolavington Vegetable and Flower Show on Thursday, 12th August 1926 at 3.00 p.m. can be seen here
It would have been held in the old Village Hall (now 9 Vicarage Road).
The allotment site back in 1926 was in Combe Lane and remained in use until the 1940s.
The programme was found by Sheila Bowden. The Hon Sec Mr A.E. Hector was her grandfather.
The two children’s classes may not be considered appropriate for modern shows!
